ISIC card

“Your Passport to Savings”

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) is your passport to fantastic discounts and services at home and around the world. The ISIC card is the only internationally-recognised student ID, making ISIC card holders members of a truly global club. Health Plan

The YUGSA Health plan is a supplementary health and dental plan designed to provide a comprehensive and low cost coverage to our members for prescription drugs, dental, vision care, extended health services and travel insurance. The plan is compulsory for all full-time graduate students without comparable coverage for drugs AND dental and is optional for those registered part-time. Students also have the ability to opt-in spouses (including common-law and same sex partners) and children. Students with equivalent or greater coverage with another plan can opt-out. The plan duration is September 1st to August 31st.

Event space

The YUGSA Lends Space To Graduate Students and Their Associations​, Conference Room (Student Centre 430)

The second floor of our office is a wide space where we hold our council meetings at. In the past this space has been booked for socials, meetings and presentations, Yoga, watching live sports, game nights, and more. Booking requests for events scheduled outside of our office hours (10:00am-4:00pm) are primarily reserved for graduate students & graduate student associations/organizations. Tax Filing

Through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) works with volunteers from community organizations to offer free tax preparation clinics for eligible individuals.

The York Federation of Students (YFS) runs York University’s only on-campus food bank, “Food4Thought”. All graduate students (both full and part-time) requiring emergency food relief are welcome to access this service. The food bank is located in room 337 of the Student Centre on Keele Campus.
